This past Sunday was the official ribbon cutting for the Sweet Apple Fields Project. Over the last year and a half, we have enjoyed being involved in the project and working with Roswell and the Sweet Apple Community. This has included the City of Roswell, High Hope Community Development Corporation, World Harvest Church and Sweet Apple Elementary School among others.
The Sweet Apple project involved expanding the fields at Sweet Apple Park in the area between the existing fields and the elementary school. As part of the project, we regraded the grassy (mostly dirt) area to playing field standards, installed sod and created the fields. The final step of the project was to mount the Sweet Apple Elementary School’s mascot on the adjacent hill. The Wolfie logo was made to last with artificial turf that can withstand weather . . . and children. ‘Wolfie’ now overlooks the newly created playing fields and grassy area where teams compete and the students play during recess.
As evident in our pictures and video at the ribbon cutting, the school and community are enjoying the fields; the kids especially are enjoying Wolfie!
